Oh dear, i wondered when this day would come. After several months of perfect same day turnaround on every disc, yesterday saw the first delay. An email asking if there was a problem brought the following 'copy & paste' response;

We will do our best to get the discs you have requested to you as quickly as possible. However, we do operate a fair use policy that aims to ensure a balanced experience for all our members. This means that we give priority to members who don't rent high numbers of discs from us. Therefore, members who rent the most discs from us might experience lower mailing priority. By allocating discs in this way we ensure a fair system for all MyMovieStream members.

MMS haven't been bought over by Lovefilm have they? Such a pity as i'll most certainly cancel within a week if my fears are confirmed.

And before anyone gets smart - no i don't hire dvds to copy them.

Come on, you said yourself after several months of excellent service this was the first time you had a problem. Give them a chance, Everybody makes a mistake...It was just one disc..

Looks like i'm not the only one on the boards who's had the same experience. I've also noticed that MMS have suddenly stopped sending emails out to say they've recieved/sent out a dvd. Pretty obvious it's so that you don't have a clear record of the delays they've already started putting in place. I'm cancelling now - i gave Lovefilm a chance when they started this cr*p - i'm not gonna be taken for a fool.

Bye bye MMS - no more of my money will you get....

Sent an angry email to MMS yesterday demanding a refund for my remaining 27 days. Got a phone call from the 'majority shareholder' himself, and a promise of a refund of the full month''s service.

Geez, you're bl00dy demanding aren't you, hehehe.. I haven't used these guys (might trial 'em soon) but considering their v-good track record from users comments, lets hope their service is not in decline.. and it's just a little hiccup. Time will tell.

Nope MMS have definitely dropped the ball lately. I'm not talking about 'fair use policy' or any such nonsense (this doesn't seem to affect me), but the new releases are far and few between lately. I've also had a disc go missing in the post and tried to contact them several times about it - I haven't even had any reply in over a month.

hmph
