Why have Lovefilm gone to the dogs? We had a free trial with them and they were brill, so we signed up for £14.99 a month 3 DVD's etc the first couple of weeks were pretty good - getting some of our top titles etc. Then things have just gone downhill - they have not sent us a top 5 DVD for weeks - even when we put DVD's we dont really want in our top 5! , we are lucky to get top 10 titles. Also DVD turnaround time has also increased (Maybe they cant cope with the demand). E-mail replys to complaints about the poor service are mainly automated and not relavent to the comlaints we made!! Avoid these guys - customer service is v poor and making money obviously there main motivation now they have expanded!

Unfortunately i must disagree with you and defend Lovefilm. 9 times out of 10 i get a film from my top 10. I usually receive films within a couple of days and any e mails i send out are replied promptly to as well. Just last week i received 5 titles from them. Also i keep a small list(around 20) titles and this does not seem to cause a supply problem. Before you ask i do not work for them i just like to give credit to a company if the service is too my expectations. this is only my opinion though

I must disagree too.

I have moved from Blockbuster to Lovefilm - and the change is amazing.

I find the website so much better, and turnaround very quick.

I am getting titles in my top 5, which is great.

Well you are very lucky because I think they are rubbish compared to Blockbuster and Screenselect. My experience with them so far is far from satisfactory.

I have to agree, I signed up for Lovefilm and they have been 10/10. however it the last couple of weeks I am getting films from the bottom off my list, they use an automated customer service. it is overall poor compared to others that I have paid for in the past.

I think Lovefilm stink. I got 2 rentals all of last week. I never get any moves from my top 10, after 3 weeks with them. I will be cancelling with them next week.

Obviously Lovefilm have a very sporadic service, somepeople cant get enough of them and others seem to get shortchanged. I have to admit they have got a little better this week - we have had 3 from our top 5 but thats all we have had in one week - not very good value for £14.99 a month. Screenselect here we come!

I'm back with Lovefilm on the buy 1 month get 2 months free. They have been fantastic to date. Top of the list stuff and fast too. When I was with them before the service seemed to tail off towards the end. Hope this doesn't happen again but at the moment service is quality.

I thought I would take advantage of the "Pay for 1 month + 2 Free" and in the first week it was great......6 dvds !!

That was it though Sad all downhill from there.......

The next 2 weeks were really bad as the turnaround was about 6-7 days.
They also sent me a wrong disc, so I "ticked" the boxes on the return envelope and it made no difference....they never corrected their error.

I sent 3 discs back last Saturday and today, according to their Web Site....they haven't got them back yet.

I could blame the Royal Mail, if it wasn't for the fact that I joined ScreenSelect on Sunday and I've received + returned the discs already.

So this was the last straw.......

I've just phoned them up and told them to cancel my membership, requesting a full refund.

I couldn't give a toss about the 2 free months........THEY SUCK !!!

I can only agree with that! Absolutely the same is happening with me. The first 2 weeks were amazingly good, I couldn;t belive it. But since the middle of last week I haven't received a DVD, they still haven't received the three DVDs I sent back last week - then of course they will not send new ones out. It is so obvious, as long as you pay for it you get some kind of good service but as soon as the 2 "free"months start they just don't care any more. ANd they never seem to reply to emails as well.

They do receive back the DVDs but they clearly don't process them due to being understaffed.

Their service sucks I have now had 3 incorrect titles and the time it takes from me to them has extended to 4 days. The insist on blaming royal mail, even when it only takes a day to get to me. Wish they'd get their fingers out of their as$.
