So far, I have seen heaps of DVDs, but found the 14 day trials to be of limited use. So far I rank as

1 Screenselect

Very good for box sets as you get them in order and one after the other.
Great range, no faulty disks, and quick turnaround. Always got discs high on the list.
Not so good for new releases have to wait a month, but best site to use.

2 Lovefilm

Great range, no faulty disks (probably thanks to the protective layer).
Always got discs high on the list.
Turnaround is not as good, and you need to just add one DVD at a time to get box sets in order.

3 Moviechoices

Best for new releases. Got Harry Potter, Shrek 2 and Day Before Tomorrow on release. Always got discs at the TOP on the list. Restricts to just 30 in the list!
21 day trial well worth doing, though turnaround is slow.

4 VideoIsland

effectively ScreenSelect, but with worse turnaround!

5 Cinema Paradiso

Good in many respects, but trial too short at 15 days.

6 Movietrak

Only does movies, which is a pain if you want a sports or music DVD.

7 Blockbuster

Not so good. Poor turnaround, lost discs, and disks from bottom of 100 DVD list. Trial was so bad I cancelled within a couple of weeks. One good thing though is that the double disk sets count as a single rental.

DVDs 365

The last of the 30 day trials I have yet to use. Will wait until new year when the post should settle down.

POSTADVD is about the last of the free trials for me so its decision time soon as to which company to go back and give my hard earned money to.

its been a funny few months actually, had some great and not so great DVDs through the letterbox. some were scratched, some came twice and some i never even requested (!?!) but overall, for free, its been great.

the only annoying thing about this whole 'dvds thru the post' lark is that, after a while, i found myself adding titles to the list just to make the numbers up with the faint hope of getting 1 or 2 DVDs i really wanted! -suffice to say they never arrived, so i went out and bought them!

i still require a few DVDs that i've transferred from one trial to another recently so i think i'll rejoin SCREENSELECT after xmas and hopefully i'll get to see them!

finally thanks to dvdtrials for the help in finding all the sites. if it wasnt for this site i'd probably still be driving across town to blockbuster! Razz

so a merry xmas & a happy new year to to all @ dvdtrials and to all fellow forum members!
