| I have being a member of screen selects for about a year now. Recently i believe the service has dropped a bit so i have decided to take the 30 day trial at Love films has they have the stuff as well i want to see. If 1 comapany dispatches i will cancel from the others it will be interesting to see in 3 weeks when my Screen select debit is due again what the outcome is. I would expect better service from screen select has i am a full member rather then a trial member but Love films may want to impress me. I will keep updates on the progress for you all. |

Wrll the first week of the trial has being and gone and things look very bad screenselect
Screenselect
I returned my wrong selection on tuesday immediately with a little note in it . They received it wednesday but did not allocate me another film till thursday At least it was one of my first choices i received it today. I returned 2 films back to them yesterday along with 2 lovefilm films. lovefilms received theirs but screen select are showing the 2 films as not returned yet
Lovefilms
My missing film finally turned up friday(down to royal mail me thinks as the outer packaging was a bit tatty. The dvd looks ok then. The two films i returned yesterday have being received and another 2 choices from the top of my list have being dispatched. so a possibiltity of 5 films in my first week. Good going Lovefilms
This is my experience so far . My screenselect debit is not due till 14/12, so they may be time to redeem themselves yet |

A surprise from screenselect 2 dispatched late on but the good old postie only manasged to deliver 1 from each company this morning. So out of 8 so far i have recived 5 next day not quite the 90% they claim.
After the first week i would give screenselect 5 Lovefilms 10 and the postal service 4
Screenselect would have got 2 but for the surprise at the end of the week |

Hi
i trialed both and found screenselect to be a tad better in regards to turn around.
So i subscribed to Screen Select. It has been a bit of a shock how poor their turnaround has become since i started to pay for the service.
Sent them an email today moaning about poor service. I cannot see me stopping with them for much longer.
what is the point of a trial if it has no comparison with what you receive?
Will probably give love film a chance. |

I was with screenselect for months, and i was happy. then the service went down the pan. I'm now with lovefilm.
I get three dvds a week from lovefilm (i was getting 6 durring the lovefilm trial). I was getting around 3 dvds a week from screenselect. I think the turn around / delivery is the same.
BUT!!! Screenselect sent me a high number of damaged disc, probably around three a month = 1 weeks worth.
I'm not delighted with either of them, but i think lovefilm is better than screenselect at the moment. And lovefilm is probably the top of the bunch. |

Yep, LoveFilm is the way to go.. as I keep saying. It's a bit of a con when the trial is super, then once ya start coughing up money, the service drops off. Anyway, may the DVD be with you.. |

| Update for this week so far. Both companies have performed very well this week with items coming from the top of my wanted lists with both. The turnarounds and have being excellent. Even the postie has being doing well. just one mystery though love films sent me a film last friday. On Tuesday it reappeared on my list has being returned even though i never received it. I contacted Lovefilms support about this, but they had as much idea how this happened has i did. I was told to re queue the film which i did and it was sent out immediately and arrived next day. So a good week all round but i have a couple due tommorrow and 1 i returned today so they may be a change yet. |

A mystery? No it's not, the postman watched it and returned it for you.. ask him if the DVD was any good, hehehe.. Nonetheless, sounds like your trials are going well, sweet. |

| Received my missing film from screen select monday am. Returned 2 back to lovefilms and 2 back to screen select monday. Tuesday returned 1 back each to the companies. Got a mail from lovefilms they received 2 films from me on tuesday and have dispatched another 2 both from within my top 10. Checked screen select website they have me down awaiting allocation on 1 and are still showing as not received the other yet. So another black mark for screen select. I have 28 selections in my screen select queue and 18 in my lovefilms queue so i await to see if screen select mail me to increase my queue size. |

| A Very poor week from both companies but this time i think it is down to good old royal mail. i have a few mates who work for the postal service and they have told me they have insurficcient staff to meet the christmas demand. if you have any important letters i suggets you post them pronto. As fordvd rentals i wouldn't expect too many |

Yep, the DVD's (receiving and returning) have been s-l-o-w lately, which, like you said, is down to Royal Mail... Oh well.
Merry Christmas to all. |
