I tried them out for a two week trial, and I wasn't that impressed. I found they took a couple of days to send out films.
As a free trial, you should be able to get 5 or so DVD's to watch for free, but I won't be subscribing.

I had a 30 day trial and it went pretty well, apart from one dvd going astray for a while. But the turnaround was pretty good (return Thursday morning and have another disc on Saturday - can't complain at that). During the trial i got 20 dvd's.
the only slight gripe is that it seems to take a while for discs sent back at the weekend. They process on Monday but i often don't see a disc until the Wednesday.
The big plus for Lovefilm is that i have gotten my first choice almost every time and none of the discs have been scratched to the extend they don't work.
