I initially joined screenselect to do the free trial and then leave (screenselect was the first online rental i had tried), but i was so impressed with the service that i stayed for 8 months. After the merger with .... was it videoisland? the service started to slow down, and i was getting a high volume of damaged disks.
I emailed screenselect about the slow service and they said that it was the royal mails fault. so i joined moviechoices and lovefilm to see if they could send disks faster. both lovefilm and movies choices were faster than screenselect.
I had one title arrive 4 times with scrathes all over it. i complained about the faulty disks i had been getting. Screenselect said they would look into it and ensure that it didn't continue. Three days later i got 2 damaged disks.
I cancelled my membership, and i was sad to do so because they had been very good for a long time. Their website is one of the better ones and they always replied to my emails quickly.
but in honesty, i'm not paying for fast emails and a nice website. I have joined lovefilm.
(will post a comment about lovefilm and moviechoices) |

| Geez, that really sux! I prefer ScreenSelect over VideoIsland, but if VideoIsland's reputation succeeds over ScreenSelect, then damn! I'll be sticking with LoveFilm, for now... |
