Saturday Despatches at an End

I gave them a call through the week (about another matter) and I thought I'd ask if they still send out discs on the Saturdays.

Looks like they are now on a 5 day week like the others.

That is bad news.This is one area where they had an edge on the rest of the field.I hadn't noticed as my recent dispatches never coincided with a saturday.

Looks like the Saturday despaches are back on, as they sent me out a disc yesterday.

Well, I hope things get back to how they were a few month ago, because the current (3 discs per week) is pants.

As it happens I returned 3 discs on friday,but they weren't acknowledged as returned until today,which would coincide with no service on saturday because the discs normally are received the next day after i send them.

Same thing this week.Returned 2 discs friday...still showing as out on hire.
Looks like the end of saturday service.

Same thing with me Baz.

I returned a couple of discs on Thursday and they still appear to be out on loan.....
Last Saturday, they sent out a disc (see my post above) which I didn't receive until Thursday and I was beginning to think that it had went missing, because I'm used to getting them the next day, after they are sent.

The 4-5 day turnaround, makes it impossible for me to get any more than 3 discs a week.

Definately gone downhill in my estimation.

Well got to say that despite the no Saturday turnaround they are still superb for me after many months.

Just worked out that last week alone they sent me a total of 12 discs on the 3 disc package, a couple were 2 disc series sets but that is still fantastic going in my book. Maybe I'm doing better than some right now by the looks of things.

Very erratic service.......

I mentioned that Saturday despatches are at an end, then they sent out discs to me on a couple of saturdays ago.

I mentioned that I am only getting 3 discs per week, then last week they sent out 6 (looks like it's going to be 6 again this week).

I wasn't getting anything from the top of my list, then they sent out Batman Begins (last week). Yesterday I received The Amityville Horror.

They seem to change just like the weather, so at the moment, I'm certainly not complaining, as I seem to be experiencing nice sunshine at Blockbuster....

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed an improvement.....or is it just me?

I was getting increasingly annoyed at their service because they were doing the whole "processing order" thing and just being a little frustrating although nothing compared to Lovefilm or SS.

Then about three weeks ago they completely changed and have got loads better. No more processing order, next day delivery and returns almost every time. They have just improved no end. Plus this time they haven't had the whole thing where you have 200 DVD's and they can't find anything. Even occasionally they send you your number one choice. They have been a lot better.

I just hope the last three weeks keeps up because it is good to be with a company which really is unlimted DVD rental.

I've had excellent service for the past 4 weeks (26 titles).
Going back to the saturday service,I've just had 3 titles sent out yesterday,so its a bit confusing as to what the situation is.But regardless to the saturday issue,it appears to be outstanding service at the moment.
