Just went to DVD365 this morning and there's an announcement that they've merged with Screenselect.

I'm with Screnselect at the moment on a two months for one offer, and although they were sending out discs at a cracking rate in the first month, they seemed to institute a Lovefilm-style policy of delays in the second.

Luckily the delays are nowhere near as long as Lovefilm (and they do add days to your rental if you ring up and complain). They're also sending top choices, so I'm going to stick with them for another month for the remaining high priority titles.

I know DVD365 get a hard time form some members, but when I trialed them quite a few months ago, they were pretty darned good. And I like their new policy of telling you the maximum number of discs they'll send before they bill you again -- far better than Lovefilm's "fair use" guff.

But it looks like the days of a dozen free trails are coming to an end, eh?javascript:emoticon('Sad')

Well I very unhappy with the merge. I was a 5 disc package paying member with dvd365 for 6 months and enjoyed speedy service. If i sent back 5 discs friday I got 5 discs back monday , never failed.

Suddenly within a week of screenselect taking over I have "allocation waiting" on 3 discs from friday to tuesday, discs suddenly take 1-2 days longer to be recieved when I post them back.

And get this, I have just been imformed by customers services, that the werehouses are not open on a weekend at all. So if you were with dvd365 you immediately have been lessened to dvd 253 days.

I am giving them a week to sort their act out after a couple of angry emails otherwise I am taking my hard earned cash elsewhere.
