My 3 for 1 is just about to finish & I have got an email offering a complientary upgrade to the 4 at a time plan (from 3). It appears to be 4 disc plan for price of 3 disc plan for one month, then you are upgraded automatically.

I'm looking for the catch, It looks like the £13.95 plan may 'disappear' after the "complimetary" upgrade................

I was going to cancel, my billing date is Wednesday, but low and behold they have recieved two DVD's back today & posted 2 more! They haven't managed same day turnaround for about 2 and a half months! So now I can't cancel in time. Grrr.......

The catch is,you never get 4 at a time anyway,so they are not giving anything away. It's just another desperate attempt to keep customers. On the other hand you have nothing to lose(except yopur sanity by staying with them) Wink

Best thing to do if you're going to cancel is either remove all titles from your list so they can't send any out or freeze your account so they should not send any out once your outstanding ones are returned, then cancel in your own time. Smile

Sorry to hear that Louise........Sad

Completely agree with Bazwaldo.......this is the way to get RID of them (without them stealing money for an unwanted month).

1. Delete the dvd list.
2. Freeze the account (until the discs are all returned)
3. Cancel the account.
4. Delete their page from your favourites (so you are never tempted to visit them again).
5. Block their e-mails.

Just a thought.....If it were me, I think I would give them a phone call and see if they would give you extra time, to send back the discs. I remember doing that with them last December and it worked.
Here is their phone number : 0870 240 1637

Very Happy

Hello
Just got my last three discs together (not all at the same time mind you) and deciding to send them back to get another three. My reservations? My free trial ends next week and my god I don't want another month of stress.
So I guess it will be as Jiltz recommends, although I don't think I'll go with point 5, I'm always up for a laugh and find their emails quite amusing. Too date I have received 43 films not too bad although I think I deserve them for putting up with their token emails, token excuses and at times down right lying and cheating. See you all at another forum some day and don't forget proof of posting.

I was going to add a Point 6. Visit a Hypnotist or Therapist and see if they can help you to forget the name Lovefilm.

Very Happy

Seriously though, I forgot to add "Proof of Postage".......glad you mentioned it, becuase that is probably the most important point of all.
