I just finished my so called "free" trial with love film, returned all the discs 4 days before the end, and then canceled, i just got my cc bill in today and they charged me the 14.99 the second i joined,

I emailed them about it and they said i had a trial before with them so i wasn't entitled to another thats why i got charged, thing is i've only ever had 2 trials/accounts, one with blockbuster, and then with lovefilm, and no one else in my house has had any at all, so is there any online trading standards, or complaints place i can contact who handle this kinda things as lovefilm keep brushing me of, even tho i've asked them to say when it was i was supposed to have had this other trial Mad Mad

Anyone know ?

Thanks folks Crying or Very sad

Highlander did you get an email when you signed up

like the one here:
http://www.dvdtrials.co.uk/The_News/Articles/Lovefilm/2/ on lovefilm review page.

As it should say when you free trial date ends.

If it does say you have a free trial then you should be able to argue why it says free trial.

Yeah i got that email, almost exactly the same except it was for 30 days, etc, and that the term "free trial" was mentioned again and again throughout, i've sent a copy of it along with another email explaining it to lovefilm, and making note to them that it keeps saing "free" and that i've never had and account before, so i'll see if they reply Confused

Thanks Smile

I have had problems with LoveFilm as well. Their customer support is VERY obstructive and not at all helpful. It was only after 3 weeks of email to and fro that I was actually passed onto the customer support manager who had a brain and was willing to listen to me.

Here is the email address of the customer support manager - kerry.evetts@lovefilm.com. I suggest that you go directly to them

Good luck.

can't believe you've had so much trouble from lovefilms i had a 30 day trial with them last month and found them to be excellent have another 30 day trial with screenselect and have also found them brilliant, my husband had a 30 day trial with blockbuster and they were terrible but he managed to get a 30 day trial with lovefilms and again they have been great
