I've been a member of Lovefilm for a while now and have never had any issues with them. They've always had what im looking for however obscure the film was.
They seem to be adding new services too, they have a new fast track thing now that guarantees you'll get certain choices next. Also do video games as well, im just trying this out now so cant really comment on that yet.
I've tried a few rental services out now and i must say Lovefilm has been my favourite and one that I have now stuck with. |

No. I can also confirm that their service over the last few months has been superb.
Actually looks like they've learned how to treat their customers properly right now, of course things can change in the future ...... |

I agree things have improved dramatically and they now work saturday and send out new releases which used to go out on monday on a sat so you get them for monday.
The only gripe I have is that they're constantly offering 2 months for the price of 1 or 2 months free to new subscribers - which means there is no incentive for long term customers and if you're long term you are subsidising the short termers. |

Had to offer my penny's worth. I have a long history with Lovefilm. I've been very vocal with them about my problems with their service;
1) slow turnaround
2) unlimited is not accurate
3) allocated discs from the middle or lower choices
4) Multi discs being sent out of order, sometimes with the first disc never being sent.
I recently tried Blockbuster again and was very impressed with how their service had improved. After reading recent posts about Lovefilm's supposed improvements, I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and use a 2 month offer code they had sent me.
Doh! Sucker!
Not one of my previous complaint issues have improved, at least not for me.
1) The discs still appear to be sent 2nd class, taking days to arrive where ALL other companies' discs arrive the following day.
2) It still takes at least 2 days, if not longer sometimes, between them showing as receiving returned discs, supposedly "processing" the new choices and them actually being sent. I've previously gone as long as 10 days with no discs allocated.
3) Not one of my top 6 choices has been allocated thus far. So much for the theory of better choices for the trial customers.
4) This is my biggest issue. They are still totally incapable it seems of sending discs in episode order. For one series, I received disc 2, then disc 4, then disc 3 and am still waiting for disc 1. They have always said themselves that they can't operate a system of disc order allocation and advise people to only list one disc at a time. I tried this once, and I received the first disc fine. Then added disc 2 to my list. Never had it allocated or sent. Who wants to watch half a film or TV series.
ALL other companies seem able to handle this issue with no problem. In fact, even if Lovefilm only operated an entirely human driven system with employees picking from a typed list on paper, I don't believe that discs would be sent in order. Either the people working there can't read, have no sense of logic, or pick discs deliberately out of sequence as a laugh. Probably all 3.
I'm glad that some other folk have had a relatively decent service. Me, my offer e-mails are going straight back in the deleted folder where they used to go.
cr*p is cr*p. It doesn't matter how much perfume or sugar you put on it. It always stinks and tastes foul in the end.

| I get mine usually the next day after they post them to me - perhaps I'm lucky in my postal service. |
