Ok, ever since I joined Blockbuster, I've been getting many DVDs per month but as time goes by, their system has been does its darnest to pick movies from the end of my list rather than the top.

Now, I get this e-mail from them offering a 3-DVD to 5-DVD service upgrade for 2 weeks for an extra 4 bucks.

Problem is, this hints that very few DVDs are gonna be sent out and even if they send out a DVD-a-day, Royal Mail will find a way to lose or majorly delay it.

What I wanted to know is if anyone else is thinking of putting their subscription on-hold until the hectic time of year is over.

Wish I could cancel mine but my billing date is 28th of each month so I 'just' missed it. Grr.

In fact, I remember this whole DVD's being delayed or lost in post business rooting from Christmas last year so it's a pretty bad time of year, uh, movies-wise.

Hi freeloader, you can cancel at any time with blockbuster and you are only charged for the time you have used.Although you have paid in advance they will refund you what you are owed at the next billing date.I've just cancelled myself. My billing date was the 9th dec and i cancelled on 16th so i will be refunded approx 75% of my susbscription on the 9th jan.Hope this helps.
Will rejoin in the new year.Happy xmas. Wink

Everything looks to be running OK, the post slowed down slightly before christmas and obviously we've lost a few days, but other than that, no complaints.

A few delays in postage but nothing servere. Since christmas turnaround excellent with discs arriving next day, Much better than my experience with lovefilms christmas 2004. Very happy with blockbusters at moment with no plans to change
