Love Film get their act together!

Well credit where credits due, lovefilm have improved a lot recently for me - including posting items on a Saturday which then reach me on a Monday morning.

Latest very impressive 'service' is I noticed War of the Worlds and 3 other new films move from the future releases section of my list to my main queue on Saturday - War of the Worlds was at the top of my queue. I'm on the 4 a month plan and had 3 rentals out - On Sunday I got an email to say it had been despatched/posted! It has arrived in this morning's post - the day of it's official release.

This month they also offered me a free upgrade from 3 at a time to 4.

I have to admit that their service has really come on. They now seem to work on Saturdays and I just got my top 3 choices all at once. Haven't been offered the free upgrade yet. Maybe this is because I get my DVDs via their Sainsbury's operation and not direct from LoveFilm.

Ae you both paying members? I am getting really good service from lovefilm, I get sent titles that have just been released, and turn around time is excellent. However I am not paying right now (on a free trial).

If good replies keep coming in from paying members i might try them out as a paying member for a month Smile

Yes, I am a paying member and have been since May. It was the usual story of a great trial then turning rubbish once I started paying. Now just in the last 3 weeks I've been getting much better turnaround (1 day for DVD to get back and next sent out immediately getting to me the next day.) I've also had my top three sent out everytime (I'm on the 3 disk package.) Dunno what happened but if we can dish it out when they mess up we should also acknowledge when they get it right. I actually get my films via Sainsbury's tie-in with Lovefilm - don't know if this makes a difference other than being a little cheaper than going direct to Lovefilm.

I also pay - I'm on lovefilm (not via sainsbury).

They really do seem to be quite getting good

I got sent Unleashed, Mr and Mrs Smith and Charlie and the chocolate factory sent out today and all these movies have just been released this week!

similar improvement here - charlie posted out on saturday for arrival in monday's post - very impressive. and mr and mrs smith posted out yesterday for arrival today on its day of release.
