Hi all,
What's with this new LF cancellation procedure? You have to phone them now to cancel your account!!! Why have they done this and has anyone had any problems like not being able to get through to cancel?
Cheers

I tried to cancel LF recently and yes you have to ring them, they want to know why and like many companies will maybe offer you a free month or something to get you to stay. I took the free month, silly me, am now on 4 discs trial, only once got sent 4 dvds, never got them.... lost in post (damn silly envelopes - open me I contain a nice DVD!!!!) never lost one of Blockbusters. Who are they trying to promote to... The postal workers? They can really get an unlimited service from LF at no cost!!
Confused I am.

Any thoughts on the number of lost DVDs?

If the Post Office is to blame, then it must be in LoveFilm's area as no other DVD company seems to have a problem to this degree.

Personally I'm not convinced

Having the same problem, 4 lost discs all apparently posted and a suspended account. My post office is bemused by it all, but I suppose they would be eh ? 1st disc reported as lost -aka "not arrived " over 3 months ago and the post office have no record of a claim from Lovefilm. They are obviously very wealthy not to want to claim back the insurance or are they just not very organised or is it an inside job, who the hell knows.
Any one else lost discs ?????

Sorry, im just going to vent a bit of anger here.

Just called their hotline (at my expense of course) to cancel my account.
Get through I explain I want to cancel, and he asked why. I said because "you are only sending me one dvd at a time when there should be three", to which he replied," you need at least 20 titles in your list". Even though there were!

I felt like I was doing something wrong, he talked down to me as if I musnt cancel.

He went on... "why dont you freeze your account?"...

In the end I got him to cancel my account. Shame on you lovefilm, tactics at keeping customers. absolutely disgraceful I should go through that.
