18 out of 25 titles in my queue (including the top 14 titles) have been stuck on 'short wait' for ages now.

Gettin bored waiting on them, and find myself padding out my queue with titles i'm not fussed about just to get a constant stream of titles.

Anyone else having this problem? Are we victims of MMS's success?

Also their search engine doesn't work properly. You can search for a film, not find it, then search for an actor in the film and then find it. They need to get that sorted out ASAP.

What tends to happen if your list is all short wait?

Cheers,
A

All of my titles are on short wait and I never seen to get the first ones of my list any more which is really disappointing! I only stayed with them as they were the only ones sending the top titles very fast but I don't see any reason to stay with them now. Only problem - where to go? I tried them all and they are all useless. Seems I have to go back watching TV Sad

MMS have been excellent for the six months I've been with 'em and although the search engine is pretty poor, the fabulous service has made up for it.

I'm one of those people who send DVDs back the day I receive them (I don't know how strict this board is so lets just say I send the DVDs back before I watch them), and unlike many companies out there, they don't penalise me for this. This means that most weeks I receive 9 discs.

In the last six weeks or so however, they seem to have got much busier and there is a wait for most new releases (unless you add them the day of release) and also many older titles too.

The range of new releases isn't as good as many and many new non-film titles simply aren't available.

I hope they sort it out because there isn't really anywhere else to go as far as I can tell.

No, you are very, very wrong indeed!!!

It is normal users like you that hold on to top titles for days, sometimes weeks at a time that make it impossible to get the titles you want, especially series discs which most people take ages to get through.

Dvds like dvd games and phisical workout videos, however unpopular you may expect them to be, are simply not available as some people decide to 'keep' them.

If everyone did what I do then discs would be always available.

I completely agree with Oracle, unless ads can elaborate on his/her opinion.

If dvds are returned quickly they're available for others, how will Oracle's use "f*ck it all up"

You pay for an unlimited service, UNLIMITED!.

Thanks for the support IfOnly, I think ads was too busy jumping on his high horse to think it through.

If my high turnaround is too much for MMS, then they can charge me more money and I won't mind at all. It's the availability of top titles that attracts me to MMS and in the last week or two, they've been getting better.

You absolute morons - if youre paying 15 quid a month and costing a company 20 quid in postage alone what do you thinks going to happen to the service? Despite the fact that copying discs is blatantly illegal and a complete abuse of the dvd rental contract youre actually dumb enough to think a postal service version of unlimited means theyre going to deliver a skip load of dvds to your door or something.

Every single good dvd company Ive seen here ends up with some f**kwad whining because they used to get 45 dvds a month and then everyone elses service gets throttled. Why dont you get jobs and contribute something to society instead of sitting around bludging off everyone else.

Idiots.

O.k. then ruggedtit, sorry toast, please define how unlimited should be interpreted for each and every dvd rental company, but first, here's what unlimited means.

"No restrictions or controls"
"Without exception"

If a company wishes to use the advantageous advertising hook "UNLIMITED" then are they not under obligation to provide it, if postage becomes a fiscal problem then they should trash the word unlimited and provide a clearly stated "LIMIT" or smack themselves for running with a sh*t poor business plan in which they totally underestimated running costs if some people actually used the service to capacity.

Also, you sanctimonious self-absorbed pond scum drinking cretinous troll, I have for quite some time had a "job", with your limited intellect for reasoning you really shouldn’t be branching out into telepathy to make character assassinations. Wink

I see Ruggedtit that this is a real gripe of yours, you want to hang onto a few dvds a month and then get exactly what you wish quickly sent out, which unfortunately doesn't happen when people keep the discs for weeks, try understanding that "UNLIMITED" word again and it's use within the businesses, instead of attacking people because of your OWN IDEAS on how these companies should run. And save the get a life comments, if you had one you wouldn't be o so very angry about what other people do here.

Oh dear! Fancy getting yourself so upset over nothing. I hope your job doesn't include using your mathematical skills. It is quite impossible to rent 45 dvds a month when on a three disc package.

Since when has the copying of discs, software etc upset the internet community? I didn't say I was copying them and knocking 'em out at my local Sunday market. Why don't you use your time more wisely and try to bring down newsgroups and file sharing networks if you feel so strongly about it. And be sure to stick to the speed limit, assuming you can drive that is. I bet you voted Liberal Democrats at the last election, ha ha!

As for your silly comment about getting a job... I bet I earn more in a day than you do in a month and I only work half days. Loser!

Pathetic losers, if you had any friends other than people you'd met online at star trek sites and through warcraft they'd tell you the same. Unlimited MEANS THE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU GET NOT DVDS are you unable to read as well as think. By the way Oracle I hope this isnt interrupting your minimum wage job as a security guard, gotta look at that door, yes, its still a door, no ones robbing the Whiskas depot yet.

F*ckwits.

With nothing left to argue, I see you're lodging further personal attacks. You really aren't an incredibly intelligent chap, are you? Do you not have ANYTHING valid to say?

I don't think this is the place to try and argue with anyone who'll talk to you. I don't tend to chat with people on forums and so with nothing left to say, we'll leave it there.

I'm sorry, but I couldn't care less what you say or what you think of me because, after all, this is the internet. If it's possible, I'll be adding you to my block/ignore list so I wouldn't advise replying.

Merry Christmas retard!!! Laughing
