Hey,
I have a big problem. I signed up for movie pigeon, and tryed to sign up 3 times using the same address, I received one free trial worht 2 weeks, and then received an email from them saying I can only have 1 free trial and my other 2 accounts have been cancelled. I cancelled my free trial, and thought that was that.
On the 3 seperate accounts I made, I used one credid card for 2 of them and a debit card for the third one. I also used 3 seperate email addresses for each of them. I recieved my credit card statement and realized £20 had been tooken out of it from movie pigeon. I logged into the email address I had used for the second account I made and reliazed I had an email from world pay statin £20 had been paid to movie pigeon. I emailed movie pigeon and after about 3 weeks the money got refunded and my 2 accounts that I signed up for using my credit card had baan cancelled.
However, payments were still ebing tooken out of the debit card even though I couldn't and didn't rent any DVD's. It's been 2 months so 2 payments of £20 have been tooken out. I can't remember the email address I used for the debit card one, So I can't just log into it and email movie pigeon. Right now, all I have done is emailed movie pigeon from another email address, and asked them to cancel all accounts that I have with them, andrefund £40 into my account. But I don't think this will work.
I can't get a chargeback because I used a debit card right?
What should I do???
I've tryed phoning them but got an answering machine all the time. If anybody else wants to try and see what happemns the number is
01302 333778
Thanks. |

Won't do any good as they are not standing orders but individual credit card purchases.
The bank can't do a thing. |

| Cancel the debit card then and tell the bank that the previous transactions were fraudulent. |

It seems moviepigeon have been more than reasonable with you.
However, a poster on another forum they send out not for rental DVDs (as I suspect many of the lesser known companies all probably do).
I recommend only these 2 rental companies:
1. Blockbuster - most reptuable of the lot, work Saturdays, decent movies sent from your list with pretty reliable accuracy, fast turnaround... BUT they do sometimes appear to throttle you if you return DVDs too quickly.
2. Moviepigeon - decent enough, fast turnaround, fairly good selection of both new and older films. |
