In the last two weeks I've been enjoying a free trial courtesy of lovefilm. They emailed me with the title of 'Don't be a Willy Wonka'. I took them up on their offer despite reading the much documented and deserved slating of their service/turnaround etc...

Blow me. Their service has been exemplory. In the last 10 days I have had 12 dvds from them on a 3 at a time package. Umfortunately I'm going away so I've had to cancel well before the 30 days is up. Don't know if the service is good to lure us into paying and then giving sub standard service though.

Anyone else had an experience on this promotion? I did pay them for a month over 15 months ago for the princely sum of £20 which was dear even back then (I forgot to cancel the trial on time). I am tempted to sign up when I get back although I'm sure many would say I'm crackers to even think about it. Any response?

Hi Nayman......Wink

You are not "crackers" to take them up on this free trial and who can argue with 12 dvds in 1 week.....but you would be crackers to pay them for a full month.

Yes LF like to roll out the red carpet with new customers, but as soon as they have closed the door behind you, then it will be a different story....expect to get 3 dvds in 1 week.

When the postie makes his daily delivery, you will find yourself swearing, as you hunt through the mail, looking for a LoveFilm envelope, which is nowhere to be seen.
You login to their site only to discover to your horror, that they haven't sent you anything for days.

You will then phone their CS to try and get some kind of explanation, only to find yourself chatting to a rude woman, who couldn't care less about your situation.

By now, you will be seething with anger and will want to cancel immediately, but you discover that they don't give refunds.....so you are stuck with them for the remainder of the month.

THEY DON'T DESERVE TO HAVE CUSTOMERS.
