A Screenselect review
I`ve been with them quite a few months now. They are generally ok, altho in the last few weeks they seem to have introduced a day after return processing (which is very annoying).
I`m on the 3 dvd package and now i`ll be lucky to get 4 dvd titles a week. When I signed up for them a few months back I was on the 2 dvd package and was managing 6 dvds a week! .. go figure?
No postage problems at all which is a good thing, but weekends are the worst because they stop processing any return titles after friday lunchtime right upto monday afternoon it seems.
Very good choice of titles but they never seem to send out the things at the top of your list or sometimes even your first choice list, a thing that lovefilm dont do, and you can have a top choice title sitting on top of your list for months (yep i`ve had it)
On the good side DVDs always turn up with no scratches or problems playing.
I will be downgrading my package once again as I dont see any benefits (due to the post, thier processing system, and this new so called day after return policy they now seem to run)
But there are worse dvd hire companys out there trust me.
Here is my overall scoring :-
CUSTOMER SERVICE 4/5 (free phone number)
VALUE FOR MONEY 3/5 (average)
TITLES 5/5 (lots)
TURN AROUND 2/5 (terrible lately)
OVERALL
3/5
Please feel free to complete the poll and also write your own reviews
on what you think of screenselect. |

Hi Grogo.......
Agree, they have been capping customers for quite some time now.
Another company deceitfully using the "unlimited" tag.
I sent 3 discs back last Saturday (straight into the GPO depot, bypassing the normal post box) and they would have got them yesterday (Monday)........they are still not displayed as "returned".
Pure deliberate stalling tactics.
On Sunday, I returned 2 discs to Mymoviestream and today, they have "shipped" my next selections to me.
So my score to them is: 2/5 (this is only because they gave me another 2 months for the price of 1). |
