OK just for fun......

What is the most amount of discs you have ever received on any day?

The most I've had is 7 discs. (3 from BB, 3 from SS, 1 from LF).

Very Happy

I don't want to brag but mine was 10 on a saturday a long long time ago when I was trialling about 4 I think. Let's be honest, like most people out there I guess I needed to make 'best use of them' if u know what I mean so I was able to send them in the post for 1.00 that day. No BS. It's true. How many others out there are like that? The companies must be aware. Hence clamping down on customers with a high turnover of discs such as lovefilm. To be honest, I'm surprised that these companies make much money at all!

Do you not think bragging about obviously ripping discs to your HD is gonna attract the wrong kind of attention to these forums? Discretion, people, please....

You will breaking terms and conditions of your dvd rental company.

from screenselect t+c:

he never actually said what he did with them he only said best use of which in some cases the best use for some of them is to lob them in the bin

i don't think the rental companies give a toss what u do with them as long as they get your money and their discs back if they could prove what you were doing its a diffrent matter

but the unauthorised copies disclaimer is the bog standard that the powers that be ie f.a.c.t say legally has to be there any company that sells/rents copyrighted material has to have that disclamier or they are in serious bother

Ok, fair enough, but we're all adults here, and not stupid. It's perfectly obvious what he's getting at! What else can you do with 10 discs in a few hours? I know he doesn't say he's copying, but it's a bit obvious to anyone with any sense.

I'm just saying, bragging about that, or even insinuating, will make lead to others on this board doing likewise and before you know it we'll have topics about the best software etc to copy.

I'd say it was pretty hard to copy 10 DVDs by 1pm if you only got them that Saturday (what time you get your post?) and returning them at 1pm wouldn't have helped him as it missed last post at 12.30pm

Like he says, he didn't intend to watch them he was just testing out which company was best. I doubt he'd have time to watch all those films from 4 different (1 month?) trials anyway.

Of course rental copies care if you copy disks or simply watch and return them fast. It affects there bottom line.

Oh come on, what a pile of nonsense!! The guy said;

"" 'make best use of them' if you know what i mean ""

Of course he means copying them, or ripping them to hard drive. I don't think it'd take more than 20 mins per disc to do that.

Making "best use of them" could also mean......little sister watching a couple of discs on her Playstation......big brother watching 1 in his bedroom......mum watching 1 in the kitchen.
Yes....this could be a family selection of discs, in a household with a few dvd players.
Everyone jumped out of their beds when the mail was delivered (7am)....watched what they wanted and then all the discs got returned at lunchtime.

Well.....that's one theory......might seem like BS, but it is possible....Very Happy

can i just put the record straight from my earlie post. Yes, i am aware that many people might make illegal copies of dvds. What I meant was that to test the dvd rental companies with regard to turnaround. I happened to be on 4 free trials simultaneously at the time. Sorry for any confusion. Talk about putting the cat amongst the proverbial pigeons (or is that moviepigeon??). Anyway. I'v been busy and taken out a free trial with lovefilm as they sent me an email entitled 'Don't be a Willy Wonka' Turnaround is excellent. Do they want to lure us to pay and then give cr*p service? Only time will tell

Chill man I acknowledge how my comment could have been misconstrued. Let's call it a misunderstanding.
