Heads up, but who owns mymoviestream.com?

The owner is listed as:

Charitas Communications Limited
Round Street House
Round Street Common
Wisborough Green, West Sussex GU6 8BS

But the postcode given is not for West Sussex.

Also there is no Round Street House but there is a Round Street Common in Wisborough Green.

Carefulness is advised given scams like www.dvd******.net

Well everything is fine with MMS for me so far, however your dectective work with address is a bit strange. Did you get these details off company registrars?

Tell me about this other company you link to , what's the story there? Looks fairly authentic. Is it 100% a scam ie take money and you never see any discs?

They are owned my Muze

Who is Muze?

D vdtome.net were a scam site where just about everyone who returned disks were told "it was not on time". Since this happened to both I and a relative and I had 100% proof, I knew that unlike Lovefilm or something they were (he was - Mr Kev in J. L averick) a complete con artist, he sent all his emails for the service himself from his house in Australia. Maybe he was piggy backing on a legitimate service here as don't know who sent the disks.

LoveF ilm are con artists too but it doesn't happen to EVERY single subscriber, possibly because they have a lot more.

Mr L averik wrote to admin threatening cartooney legal action if his company received bad press.

Does this mean their 'glitch' is still not sorted

Here's a puzzler.I added 3 titles to the bottom of my list showing as available now.I moved them to the top of the list and suddenly they went to showing short wait.Moved them back to the bottom and showing back as available.Moved them up one step at a time and ok up till about 5,6 and 7 in list, but any higher and showing short wait.To get them as hopefully my next choices i have put 3 or 4 titles above them showing short wait.Strange or what. Confused

My queue has taken a hit.

Most of my titles were showing available now early this morning but now looking again loads of them have short wait.

I knew we should have kept this site a secret, its becoming too popular! Admin, delete this thread quick. Very Happy

By the way, that queue thing changing the status, weird!!

I got 1 title (showing short wait) i put above the 3 i wanted next.Still, i got 2 of them. Not 100% foolproof, but it is better than any of the others out there, who don't have the imagination to install a simple feature like this. Smile

Agree !!

Maybe the Admin is waiting to get more feedback on them first.

Very Happy

The service I have had has been really good, so I'm going to try them out with a "paid month".

Their rating system is bizarre. There is no option for not liking a movie!

Fired an email off to MMS expressing concern at the non-stocking of some top titles -

Deadwood series 1
Sopranos series 5
Joey series 1
24 series 4
Doctor Who new series
The Comic Strip collection

All of these are available on Blockbuster but i like the fast turnaround highly queued discs on MMS. Finding it hard to fill my queue though with 'must-have' titles.

Another suggestion (if anyone from MMS is reading) is to have a coming soon section and a facilty to reserve pre-release titles.

Hi dobler,
I find it strange that you are having trouble getting sopranos series 5.they are on my list (available now) and are easily accesible by search by keyword. Confused

they seem to take a couple of weeks from the release date to add tv and boxset stuff, the good stuff anyway

Doblers........I found this for you >

http://www.mymoviestream.com/movies/?id=99173 (Comic Strip Collection)
http://www.mymoviestream.com/movies/?id=101525 (Doctor Who)

I've found more success, typing in the "actor name" (rather than the name of the film, series etc).........Wink

Still seems like a decent rental place, because I managed to get Hide and Seek today and to be honest, I would never have got this film, with any of the other places.

Thanks for that, Jiltz, i really appreciate you taking the time to find those.

The search system is screwed up. When i search for 'comic strip', 'who', 'doctor', 'mayall', edmondson', 'piper', or 'eccleston' i get this every time;

We Found No DVD's Matching Your Search Terms or Filter Options!

Hmmm....how are you meant to find anything?!?

Jiltz, how did you find Comic Strip and Doctor Who?? When i emailed MMS they 'admitted' (yesterday)to not having them, and said they'd order them. Obviously even the staff can't search their own database.

So, how on earth did you find them?
