Rejoining previous companies

Hi all,

I have recently left Lovefilm due to their declining standards, having left Blockbusters two months before due to them sending me films 40/41/42 from a list of 43.

I am now thinking of going back to Screenselect (which I originally trialled before the other two).

I was wondering what the response is like when you rejoin the companies service wise.

Do they go back to the high standard you normally get when you first join, and then slowly decline, or do they carry on as bad as when you were originally with them?

I never had many problems with Screenselect, so will rejoin them for now, but if I have any problems, I am wondering what happens after.

I've just finished the 2 for 1 offer from ScreenSelect and I am very dissapointed.

Apart from the first 3 weeks, they never posted me a disc the same day they received it. But what made it worse was the fact that they did not give me a top title for weeks (I ended up going to my local Blockbuster video store and renting from them top titles while paying ScreenSelect too).

I definitely would not recommed their poor service.

And I also wonder where to go next...

I'm on my first paid month with Screenselect and it's been perfect so far, all top titles dispatched same day since the beginning of the trial.

I'm also on a trial with Blockbuster and they are also superb - always same day turnaround, but not quite so good with titles at the top of my list.

Just avoid Lovefilm (spit) like they have a new strain of bubonic plague/ebola virus/leprosy.

Thing is, everyone seems to be singing the same song. Theyre great when you first join and then inexorably decline the longer you keep paying them so by the end youre waiting ages to get a dvd which isnt even in your top 10.

I think ANY company are capable of changing their service at the flick of a switch.

I was with LoveFilm (just before last xmas) and they were not too bad. Then I rejoined them again and well......you can guess the rest.

So you are thinking of going back to ScreenSelect, well I have to agree with Julia above, about trying to get sent titles from the top of your list.
They don't mind sending out the old stuff, but hold back with the recent releases.

As for them "slowly declining"......well, that probably depends if you are a heavy user or not, as I noticed that ScreenSelect throttled my account from 3 down to 1 (in the second month of their 2 for 1 offer).....yet overall, I still managed to get 38 discs during the 2 months.

I was with lovefilm for about 6 months then left because I was going travelling, anyway, was going to re-join but have been on here and seen some disturbing comments - however, I am going to make up my own mind and try them out, especially as they are running a 50% promotion for the summer
