lol......nice one Marty, they never cease to amaze me.

Here is the one I got yesterday in an email from them....
They are trying to promote a whole YEAR with them for the same price as a TV Licence in a one off special offer >
Code:
£126.50 is the cost of a TV licence and it now buys you a year's 3-disc Unlimited Viewing Package at LOVEFiLM on Tuesday and Wednesday only. That's 30% off the full price of £179.95. If you are an existing subscriber and wish to extend your membership at this special price please contact customer services with the subject line: TV Licence promotion.

Maybe they want people to stop paying for their TV Licences and to give them the money instead.

Imagine a whole dreadful year with LoveFilm......Urghhh!!!

I nearly fell off my chair laughing at the Lovefilm Summer promo. The bit that got me most was...

We know you'll enjoy our services

Of course we're aware there are other services trying to copy LOVEFiLM, but unlike others, we alone ensure you'll get the films you want, when you want them - as well as providing brilliant customer service.

Are they mad??

This is perfectly timed as I was ready to phone and complain (again) today!

Yeah, i got the email, the day AFTER i threw in the towel. Still i guess many punters will fall for it.

Their latest game is keep on charging you even though you are no longer a member, so watch your bank accounts.

So, dilemma... I have until the 8th July left on my free trial. Do I cancel now and watch my account to see if they charge me, thus giving me a new-fuelled hatred for Love film, or do I just ride it out?
What will I gain in doing this, they've suspended my account so it would seem that’s it.
What do you lot think?

Looks like Freeloader has also had his/her account suspended >

Also happened to Talliesin71 >

Looks like LoveFilm are full of dirty tricks.

I decided to freeze my account a couple of weeks ago, but I'm still keeping a close eye on my bank statements.

Anyway, sorry to hear this Flyingv........ Sad

If it were me, I think I would be contacting my bank/building society and telling them, "Under no circumstances, are you to pay any money to LoveFilm"......then see what happens.

Good Luck

Cya later everyone, it's been fun! I'm heading back to Australia.. I'll pop in from time to time and see what's new, and I might trial a few of the Aussie DVD companies and see how they compare. Keep smiling, and may the DVD be with you.

Marty, try not to get too upset about the cricket.....

(I'm sure that it will be available on DVD at some point in future)

Feel free to point out the error in my ways when you win the test series!

I had a look at the reviews of the ones in aus, canada and the states and it seems to be the same complaints the world over.
