Has anyone tried their free trial yet?
I have just started today with a 30 day free trial and was wondering what their service was like.
They don't seem to have as many titles as Screen Select which i have just finished.

Their price is good though at only £12.99 for 3 DVD's after your free trial.

I am just coming to the end of the trial, and i have found them excellent.
dvds are sent quickly and received back quickly.

They usually sent the dvds at the top of my list.

Much better than blockbusters.

Global might not have as many dvds as other rental sites but at least they they send out the dvds top of your list not like other sites who claim to have thousands of dvds but send your bottom of your list dvds out, so i recommend GlobalErental for being the cheapest priced site and you get your dvds the next day, plus they do a 1 month free trial, Only bad point is that they dont have a lot of dvds.

I am very pleased at the moment with Global.Even though they don't have the biggest selection of DVD's,I am getting the ones on the top of my list which is good and they are the cheapest one I have found.
I liked Screen Select but they just kept on sending me movies on the bottom of my list.

I am thinking of staying with Global now.

I liked reading your reviews Kevin on all the DVD trials you have done.

No Problem Claire

Iam with VideoIsland the Now (dont join them) cant wait until my month is finished, they blame the post office service for everything even thou its there fault,

Ive just Started ScreenSelect again Because they have the best dvd selection out all rental sites

I Cant Find a Cheaper Site than GlobalErental plus they offer you a month free trial, your right they dont have many dvds but they do have all the New Releases, and they always tried there best to send out my top choices.

I started the free trial last week. I put all 7 discs of the series 24 on my listi n order of 1 to 7. What did I receive today: Disc 3!!!! Very useful, I will immediately cancel it if they are so dumb and just sent out one title in between of a series, where you have to see them in order, they are ABOLSUTELY USELESS!!! Evil or Very Mad

I had same problem with 24 series but most companies send out series discs individually which is a bit awkward as theres 7 discs.

And you can normally only get 3 at a time, if they send them out of order its a bit pointless.

Global have an annoyingly limited selection of DVDs. Randomly, i searched for Jaws (which at first didnt show ANYTHING because their search bar is preset to looking for Actors, not film titles Evil or Very Mad ) but when corrected, it only found the first Jaws film. Then, i searched for an old classic- Mrs Doubtfire! Nope, no sign of that (not a bad thing though). So i tried a series, Deep Space Nine (currently on other sites). Nope, no sign of that either. Ok, so i tried a new but not well known release of the ADAM AND JOE SHOW dvd, currently on other sites. Nope, no sign of that either.

To cut a long story, a bit shorter... If you are going to rent Matrix, Godzilla and Armageddon, then this one is for you. If you want to rent adult films, less popular titles, or older films- then i would'nt bother with these. Yes they are cheap, but they have limited account information (like- when the hell do i start paying for this service?), their search facility is naff and their selection is probably the worst ive seen.

I have to disagree with you on the account side of things as I have had no problems in finding out when I was going to be billed.
I have just done my one month free trial and I am sticking with them for a while longer.
I do agree with you about their search facility,it is pretty rubbish. Razz

How do you get to choose the 5 dvds at a time option on the free trial? i can only choose 1,2 or 3 as the others say "no free trial". If i choose them anyway, which you can, and i proceed to setting up a DD from worldpay then do you think its most likely they will charge me? its my first trial so im new at this any help would be appreciated, regards.

Hi Kevin, have you had problems with VideoIsland ? I think they have added a recent feature to send you TV series in order. I am now getting Smallville Season 2 and Firefly in the correct order which is nice and useful.

I've never had a problem with their mail and always received DVD's on time. I would recommend.

Hi all

I got an e-mail from these guys about a postal strike in the area.

It comes just as they want to bill me.

I do not beleive them as dvds356 i salso based in Scotland and the DVD's are coming thick and fast . I will also be contacting the postal area in teh region shortly and feel that this is simply a ploy to argue that dvd's were not recieved in time so they can try to bill me.

PEOPLE BE WARNED

THESE TRIALA ARE MORE LIKE SNARES
