My point is its people like Bazwaldo receiving his 4 dvds and then sending them straight back again which have made ALL the dvd companies begin offering slow service to EVERYONE else.

I may be missing something here, but I don't think at any point that Bazwaldo claimed he was sending all four disks back on the same day, just that when he does get them, he returns that disk the same day.

I don't see anything wrong with this, because once you've watched the disk, what is the point of keeping hold of it?

Personally, I watch at least one DVD a day and sometimes more (depending which shift I'm working)

WRONG!!!

I'm well into my second month with Blockbuster and I haven't noticed any signs of a slow service.

I've been with them since the end of April and their service to me has been fantastic and I can assure you that I don't "fly the flag" for any company.

I just know good service when I see it.

I've sent discs back the same day and there has been no throttling of my account, (which happened to me with Lovefilm and ScreenSelect). DVDs365 only offer a capped service of 20 discs per month, for the same (3 disc) package that I have with Blockbuster.

If the companies you are reffering to have to "slow down" their customers service, because of excessive demand, then they should stop telling lies to customers using the word "Unlimited"

So am I being greedy?

NO.......I'm just a customer who like to see a good return for his money.

Very Happy

I PAY THOSE ROBBING SODS £20 A MONTH. MY LAST PAYMENT WAS TAKEN ON THE 6TH OF THIS MONTH.SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD 2 DVDS SENT FROM THE LOWER HALF OF MY LIST (4 FILMS AT ANYONE TIME THOUGH REMEMBER!!!!). I HAVE NOT HAD A DISK SENT FOR THE LAST 8 DAYS.

I have recently joined Blockbuster to give them a try as a replacement for LF. So I shall see how that goes.I had no problems with LF till about 3 weeks ago when films I sent back on a Friday am (to catch post in plenty of time) were not being booked back to my account till the following Thursday.

While we can't expect miracles from these sites, we can expect, pay for and are intitled to a decent service. I wont even go in to the pathetic replies I have had back from mails about my problems.
I am shutting my account next week.

Thanks to the guys who have been defending my honour in my absence.Jiltz,Taliesin71 and any i may have missed Cool
Ruggedtoast you appear to be ignoring the fact that what i am complaining about is that i subscribed to a service that lovefilm where offering, which stated that i would have unlimited amount of rentals for my fee.Discs would be sent out when others returned. They then moved the goalposts and severely restricted the dispatch of dvd's.In short it is not doing what it says on the tin.If you paid your newsagent to deliver your papers every day and he decided to deliver every other day, would you be happy...i don't think so.If they want to change their operating policy, that is fine as long as they are open about it and do not still advertise an unlimited service to draw in other schmucks. Most people are annoyed at the way they are riding roughshod over us.A simple apology that they cannot provide the service they are offering and a small extension to compensate would go a long way instead of fobbing us off with standard bullshit and downright lies.
