I like most people he am getting pissed off with the service online rental companies offer.
Im with Lovefilm and noticed since last Monday (2nd) that it has been taking them up to 4 days to send a disc out. Now the poor las on the phone tells me this is due to a 'fair play' system, so very one gets the chance to receive their discs. She also swears, that the service is unlimited, even though they are not sending me discs until 4 days after they receive them. When pushed they blame the Post office, until you kindly point out that the Post office return the discs the following day and the account is updated.
So its the 'fair play' system, introduced a couple of weeks ago that is delaying the discs being sent out.
So how does the fair play system work?
Apparatently according to her there are a number of factors.
What are those factors?
Don't Know!!!!!
As I asked, nothing to do with the fact I've already had 20 rentals this month?
No its just a busy period!!!
So would someone who is a light user, and someone whos a heavy user get the same service?
Depends on the factors of the 'fair play' system.
Oh yes, those mystery factors.
If they just re-charged your card after 20 rentals, I wouldn't have a problem. The problem I have is they are advertising unlimited rentals, but by delaying sending titles out, thats not what they're delivering.
What I'm thinking is everyone whos had enough these policies, and the attitude of online rental companies, email on mass to watchdog. If they receive a hundred or so emails about lovefilm within a couple of days, they may look into it for us. Maybe at least they could find out what these 'number of factors' are.
I strongly suspect that light users, wont have a problem, just the heavy users. I also appereate that the company has to make money. But if they are prepared to adversite an unlimited service to get your money, they should deliver it.
Any thoughts? |

| I agree with you but why stay with them if they are sh1t? Just leave and hit them where it hurts; in the pocket. |

I hear exactly and I will do, but I've got 2 and A half months to go. Interestly enough, they received a DVD back today from me, and sent another straight out. The factors must be all messed up!
I dont think I'll be the only one cancelling with them. But its not the point. They still should deliver what they advertise. |

Exactly, I really cannot understand why so many of you are still using them even if you have time left on your a/c. Just freeze your a/c for 90 days and join someone else.
Why are so many people still paying this company good money to just get messed about and not receive anything like the unlimited service they are paying for?
Sure beats me! |
