Just to let anyone know, that I managed to get my account re-activated last monday and they have added an extra few weeks for the inconvenience......which I have to say is decent of them.

Despite the fact that they might be slow with the turnaround (which might mean only getting 3 dvds per week) at least it should still work out ok in the long run.....3 month is still a long time.

In my opinion, they probably didn't anticipate the amount of people who would take them up on their 3 for 1 offer, but it would have been more professional on their part if they gave some kind of explanation, for the slow turnaround.

Yes, I would have to agree with you.. That last promotion must have suckered a lot of people in. Anybody win a DVD player? Confused

Lovefilm blames the Royal Mail for the chronic turnaround times.the Royal Mail has a 91.9% next day delivery rate for first class post, which appears to mostly the case except for Lovefilm mail. Strange.
Anyone else had their return dates from all previous rentals removed, makes it hard to keep track.Still I expect thats just 'streamlining.' As Lovefilm previously offered a good service,I would assume that these problems stem from expanding too quickly, understandable, but I don't want to be the one to pay the price

I too have had my return dates removed and suspect it is not in our interests!I am also pissed off with the very slow response to my returned discs being acknowleged.I returned my discs on monday(giving them to the postman as he was emptying box),but it was not till late on friday that i noticed them as returned on the lovefilm site and also to find that no discs have been sent out and i assume that it will be tuesday when they do send anything.I agree entirely that they are being deceitful and are blaming the mail when it is obvious they are cheating us,as every time they send me discs i get them next day.I am on the 3 for 1 and had great service initially but now it is shite.Screenselect are now offering 2 for 1.Might go back to them,as i will not be staying with these burglars giving this pathetic service.

Seriously mate it's a rent by post service, Royal Mails completely poor service these days is bound to have an effect on how it runs.

It baffles me as to how many people in this country refuse to believe how bad Royal Mail really are, stuff gets lost, borrowed or sent to the wrong delivery office & all this is before the posties have got hold of them, where they can end up being borrowed AGAIN depending on the experience of the postie they can even end up being delivered to the wrong address altogether.

I am by no means saying LOVEFiLM are totally blame less but lets just appreciate they are not the only ones at fault here.
I dont for one second think its the Royal Mail. Basically in my case, they arrive the day after they are sent and arrive back the day after they send them. I think most peoples problems are with the fact that they dont post anythink else out, in my case for up to 4 days!
