| I've also had a few split along the perferation at the other end (the one they use to open the returned disk. So is it that they are being opened or that the packaging is sub standard. |

I don't know... I just want this damn problem to be over...
Since I'm not receiving the DVDs I'm gonna harass lovefilm until they add 2 weeks or so on my account. This is ridiculous, receiving 2-3 DVDs a week... I used to receive around 6! First class meant next day, now it means 2 days to never.

On a lighter note, I received two titles next day from the day they were shipped for the first time in ages... Hoping that's sign of things to come.
However, I'm a little annoyed that there's been a title right at the top of my list for 2 months now and it's still not shipped.
What's the point of using the priority system when random titles are shipped from all over your list (except the damn top).
Maybe if I invert the list, they'll send me my (priority) bottom titles?! *rolls eyes* |

I am amazed how much stuff goes missing in the post. It happens all the time at work as we have to mail a lot of documents to charities and government places , loads of it doesnt turn up or we dont get the ones they send back.
Its very disappointing when you consider how much money royal mail are making.
Now if i have anything really important I always send it recorded delivery as standard post is very insecure. |

WOW. Get this. My account has been suspended pending review since May 16 and they without notifying me until I ask them why it's taking so long, that my account has been suspended indefinately! They pretty much base this decision on '3 DVDs lost in the past 3 months', so they state in their email. Royal mail lost 6 discs in the 3 months I've been with DVDs365.com yet they never did anything to my account.
That's like, a little past half way through the 3 months for the price of 1 deal. No way are they going to exploit me like this, I'm gonna give them hell. Both on the telephone and via email.
Daily new complaints to those b******s until they do something about it.
I've experienced slow turnarounds with LOVEFiLM and they just look for any opportunity to kick their members out. If you haven't joined them already, DON'T. |

Re-joined Blockbuster whilst waiting (in vain) for LoveFilm to reactivate my account.
I've had one disk take 6 days to get back to them, other than that all the disks (taking weekends into account) have been delivered overnight.
Guess there isn't a problem with the postal service between Rochdale and Milton Keynes |

I was with Blockbuster until the end of last year. At first all was well, but then some disks started taking three days to arrive instead of the usual next-day delivery.
The thing about the 3-day disks was that the envelopes had already been used (ie, the tear-off bit removed, and then resealed as if it was being returned).
Obviously the disks were being opened and watched by someone at the post office. Since it started happening to almost very disk, it had to be someone at my end of the system - ie the postie or the local sorting office.
I switched to Lovefilm, and the same thing started happening, although this time the delayed disks arrive in envelopes that had the side slit open.
I emailed a complaint to the royal mail, and since then almost every disk has arrived unopened within two days. I have never had a disk go missing permanently at all.
Until now.
After giving up with Lovefilms suddenly dire service, I've been trialling DVDs365. Out of the seven disks that they sent during the trial, two never arrived, and most of the others took over 4 days to reach me.
Since I don't have any problems with the other services, I presume that someone at their end is pinching the disks. I would have like to have been able to use DVDs365 because of their refreshing honesty over monthly limits, and the ability to exceed them by being charged early. The 5-at-once plan was also attractive. Sadly the poor postal service means this won't be possible.
They really should come down on the Royal Mail like a ton of bricks - theft of mail is unnacceptable and is damaging to their business.

as marty 73 says, we canīt be sure that these dvds were actually posted...i can imagine some of the chaos that goes on in the dispatch offices because letīs face it...there must be some incredibly stupid people working in there, not exactly a high brain-powered job is it ?
iīve been with blockbuster a month now and three dvds have gone missing as well as 2 wrong discs sent and i have the impression that some of the grunts in the dispatch office are clocking your dvds in and clocking off the next ones to send and then going to look for them and finding they are not available....they donīt know how to cancel the dvds they say they have sent from the list so just forget about it and wait till you complain that they never arrived (not surprising since they were never posted)
not sending dvds is the most effective way of slowing down your turnover rate and keeping you as a customer longer whilst you wait for your list to arrive. Iīve had 3 dvds sent out from blockbuster and whereas the first has arrived the next day, i have received others 5-6 days later...not possible with first class post.
i also have the first 20 choices on my list stuck there for over a month now and i refuse to believe that everybody on the list is renting "the stand" "a room with a view" "out of africa"...films almost 20 years old and available on dvd since 2000. obviously, some of the dvds they advertise are just not available (ie: they donīt have them) |

| Jedi_master - it's good of you to share the info, but is it really necessary to add it to several threads that aren't even relevant? |
