Hi all,
As well as the recent changes to the terms and conditons for DVD365 and powered sites, you should also be aware that in the 3 DVD at a time package there is a 20 DVD limited during the trial. So if you get through quite a few DVDs (as most of us probably do!) then be aware you could reach the 20 limit within the trial period and then get charged for the next month if additional DVDs are sent out. So keep tabs on the numbers as well end of trial date.
These are the words on the site:
Our most popular package costs £14.99 a month, which lets you hire 3 DVDs at a time - plenty to keep you going over a wet weekend! You can rent up to 20 DVDs within the monthly package price - which works out at an incredible 75p per hire! And if you want more than 20 DVDs in any month - that's no problem - we just take your next rental period payment after the return of your 20th hire. For the really avid movie fan - consider one of our higher-use packages, or an annual subscription.
Cheers,
A
I've just checked Qflicks and they don't have the same limitation. The words are:
With Qflicks you can rent as many DVDs as you want for just a £14.99 a month. You keep a revolving library of up to 3 DVDs at a time and can exchange them for new DVDs as often as you like. The number of DVDs you rent depends on how quickly you watch and return each of your DVDs. When you sign up for your free trial, we'll ask you for a credit or debit card number in order to verify your identity and address. If you cancel at any time during the free trial period and return any DVDs you have out you will not be charged a penny. You may cancel your subscription at any time and check or change your payment details by visiting the 'My Account' page.
Just checked Movietrak and they have a 20 DVD limit per month too. So it looks like it's better to do your free trial with Qflicks at the moment. But always check before you start. They'll probably adopt a 20DVD limit at Qflicks at some point.
Don't forget these details are not under terms and conditions. They are under the "How it works" section on the front page. Always check these for possible limitation. |
